Joey Gallo homered twice as the Rangers topped the Tigers 3-1 in Detroit. Ariel Jurado threw seven scoreless innings to get the win for Texas. Shawn Kelley struck out the side in the ninth to get his 11th save. Texas has won six of its last seven. Miguel Cabrera drove in the lone Detroit run with a sac-fly in the eighth. Spencer Turnbull took the loss after giving up one run in two innings. Turnbull was pulled from the game early due to an apparent injury. Detroit has lost seven in-a-row and 11 of its last 12.
