Mike Minor tossed a complete-game five hitter as the Rangers defeated the Tigers 4-1 in Detroit. Minor moved to 8-and-4 with the victory. Willie Calhoun, Jeff Mathis and Danny Santana belted solo shots in the Texas fifth inning. The Rangers won their fourth straight. Matthew Boyd took the loss, yielding four runs in seven innings. Brandon Dixon homered in defeat. The Tigers have lost six in a row and 10-of-11.
