U.S. Customs and Border Protection says agents recently seized an illegal shipment of ancient Egyptian mummy linens. The linens were inside a Canadian mail truck was inspected as it crossed into Michigan last month. The material dates back to 330 BC. The person who was importing the linens could not prove that they had been legally removed from Egypt, so they were seized. Federal authorities will be working to get the material back to Egypt as soon as possible.
