San Antonio Zoo Makes TripAdvisor Worldwide Top 10 List

The San Antonio Zoo is getting recognition as being a favorite attraction. TripAdvisor tallied their most-booked sightseeing tickets sold in the world in 2018, and found at the number five spot within that Top 10 list, among such iconic sites as New York City’s One World Observatory, Arc de Triomphe in Paris, and Edinburgh Castle in Scotland is one of South Texas’s favorite attractions: San Antonio Zoo.

Since being added to the to the well-known travel site in 2017, San Antonio Zoo has been recognized in several top lists. Last year San Antonio Zoo was named a Top 10 New Experience In The World, a list that included attractions such as Eiffel Tower and Monuments of Rome. That was followed up with a mention in America’s 20 most kid-friendly places for a family vacation. By partnering with well-known travel planning sites to sell admission tickets, the zoo is able to reach a broad audience of attraction goers, both locally and globally. As a result, the zoo saw over 1 million guests last year.

“The Zoo Crew team works hard to provide an excellent experience for our guests and it’s great to be recognized among other iconic global attractions,” said Tim Morrow, the zoo’s President and CEO. “We are proud of, and love our zoo and we’re thrilled to see that others around the world love it too. Every time someone purchases a ticket to our zoo it helps fund our global conservation efforts, educational programs and zoo improvements.”

San Antonio Zoo has invested nearly 30 million dollars over the last 4 years in upgrades, new experiences, improved habitats and Will Smith Zoo School, the largest nature based preschool in the country.
