Update:with half of the Election Day vote counted, Greg Brockhouse is narrowing Ron Nirenberg's lead.. UPDATE: About a third of Election Day vote has been counted,, and while Greg Brockhouse leads among the votes cast today, Ron Nirenberg is still leading on the basis of the strong lead he built up in early voting.. Brockhouse so far has won Election Day, but Nirenberg had a strong early vote lead.. Nirenberg 50.9%' Brockhouse 49.0%.
In the City Council runoffs, Jada Andrews-Sullivan, Adrianna Rocha Garcia and Melissa Havrda appear to be on the way to victory.

UPDATE:. The early vote is in and Ron Nirenberg leads Greg Brockhouse 51.1% to 48.5.. Nirenberg leads by about 3,000 votes out of nearly 90,000 early votes cast.

The polls have now closed in the hotly contested runoff in the race for mayor between incumbent Ron Nirenberg and challenger Greg Brockhouse.
Turnout has been strong for a municipal election.
We will see the results from the early voting within twenty minutes...and the results should be known by 8:30.
We are also watching the runoff in Council districts 2,4 and 6.
