Police in Virginia Beach say a gunman killed 12 of his coworkers in a shooting rampage at an office building Friday afternoon. Police Chief James Cervera said the gunman was armed with a 45-caliber pistol equipped with a "sound-suppressor" device and extended ammunition magazines that he used to reload repeatedly. He said the suspect engaged in a "long-term gun battle" with four police officers inside the building before being shot and killed.
