Davy Crockett is waiting for you at the Alamo, News Radio 1200 WOAI reports.
The San Antonio based company 'Quantum ERA' has installed posters on the floor around the terminals, featuring six figures from the 1836 battle, from Jim Bowie to Santa Anna.
President Michael McGar says using a free app, the people come alive in front of you.
"We have an app they can download quickly onto their iPhone or iPad or Android device," he said. "They can look at the object through the phone and you see the character pop up in front of you."
The character not only 'pops up,' it also talks to the viewer, who can take a picture of the character. The characters are in full 3-D and the viewer can walk around them.
Its a technology called Augmented Reality,' made popular by the Pokemon craze several years ago, where the poster sends a signal to the app to create an image that is programmed into the poster.
The Airport's Tonya Hope says its part of the attempt to create a better experince for travelers.
"We have art here, we have culture here, we have music here, and now, it is time to bring in technology," she said.
