A 60 year old woman was shot to death inside her own home early today, and her husband is being questioned, News Radio 1200 WOAI reports.
Deputies were called to the 6000 block of Luckey Path, which is off Highway 90 in west Bexar County, about 1AM on a report of gunfire.
When they arrived, they found the victim sprawled on the floor, bleeding from at least one gunshot wound. Deputies say the victim had been attempting to call 9-1-1 when she was shot. Four shell casings were found nearby.
The victim was rushed to the hospital, where she later died.
Deputies say there had been a loud argument between the victim and her 70 year oldhusband right before the shooting. They say the husband has been 'detained,' but so far there is no word on charges.
This incident of apparent domestic violence is certain to add fuel to the issue which is currently embroiling the race for San Antonio mayor.
