FAA Warns Airliners About Persian Gulf

The airspace over the Gulf of Oman should be treated with caution by U.S. commercial airliners. That's what the Federal Aviation Administration is saying in an advisory warning as tensions rise between Washington and Tehran, citing the fact aircrafts might be in danger "due to the potential for miscalculation or mis-identification." Washington has continued to increase economic sanctions and its military presence in Iran, even going so far as removing diplomatic staff from the embassy in Baghdad due to potential conflict. Iran has said that those measures are just the United States' "political game" though they later said they could "easily" hit American ships.
