Immigrant Shelter In Donna Over Capacity

The Border Patrol says all holding facilities including the newly established site in Donna are over capacity. In a statement yesterday, Agent Marcelino Medina says never before has the agency experienced the volume of immigrants pouring into the region as is happening now. Medina says people are showing up including entire family units at all times, day and night. The statement says more than 20-thousand immigrants have been released into the community in Harlingen, Brownsville and McAllen since March.
