The Texas Parks and Wildlife Department is announcing its first-time-ever weekend of free fishing for police officers statewide. On May 18th and 19th, anybody with an active peace officer license can enjoy fishing without a valid fishing license. The offer includes Texas game wardens and state park police officers. Wednesday is National Peace Officers Memorial Day, and the free weekend of fishing also wraps up National Police Week.
