Acting Defense Secretary Shanahan Visits McAllen

Acting Defense Secretary Patrick Shanahan says troops will stay at the border until it is secure. Shanahan made the statement during a visit to McAllen this weekend along with acting DHS Secretary Kevin McAleenan. Last week, Shanahan approved the transfer of one-point-five-billion dollars for more than 80 miles of border barrier construction. The President says he will be nominating Shanahan as the permanent defense secretary.
