Jussie Smollett's run on Empire may be over. FOX renewed the show for a sixth season today, and said Smollett likely won't be returning. He was written out of the last episodes of season five after Chicago police accused him of staging a racist and homophobic attack on himself. Smollett was charged with filing a false police report over the alleged attack, but the charges were later dropped. He is being sued by the city of Chicago over the cost of the investigation. The fifth season of Empire wraps May 8th.
