Measles Cases Spike to Highest Level Since 2000

The number of measles cases keeps rising across the U.S. to the highest level since 2000. Infections in New York, New Jersey and California increased to 671 for this year. The number of cases has not been that high since the disease was declared eliminated 19 years ago. Most of the measles cases are children who have not been vaccinated, although some adults may be at risk. The CDC will report the nation's official count on Monday and will include updates from at least 22 states.
