Javier Baez blasted a pair of two-run homers as the Cubs routed the Rangers 12-4 on Opening Day in Arlington. Kris Bryant also homered and drove in three runs for Chicago. Jon Lester permitted two runs over six innings to earn the win. Texas starter Mike Minor failed to make it through a six-run fifth. Elvis Andrus and Nomar Mazara each hit two-run homers for Texas.
