Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen says illegal immigration has prompted a humanitarian crisis at the southern border. In a House hearing today, Nielsen warned that illegal immigration is spiraling out of control. She said border officials are on track to apprehend 900-thousand undocumented immigrants this year. Nielsen called it a dire situation and defended President Trump's effort to build a massive border wall. Trump recently declared a national emergency at the southern border.
