Israeli Prime Minister to Be Indicted on Bribery Charges

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is set to be indicted on bribery and breach of trust charges. After the attorney general for Israel announced it today, Netanyahu said voters will decide if he will remain in office, not bureaucrats. Netanyahu is entitled to a hearing on the impending indictment before charges are formally presented, but that is not expected to take place until after April's election. With elections just six weeks away, Netanyahu called the prosecution's announcement "outrageous" and an "unprecedented witch hunt" carried out by his liberal opponents. The 69-year-old is currently serving his third consecutive term in office and fourth overall.
