"Johnny Football" is back out of football. The Montreal Alouettes of the Canadian Football League have released quarterback Johnny Manziel under direction of the league after he violated terms of his contract. Alouettes general manager Kavis Reed said Manziel was provided with plenty of support from the team but he has been unable to abide by the terms of the agreement. The CFL has informed all of its teams it will not register a contract to the former Heisman Trophy winner if a team attempts to sign him. Manziel joined the CFL after he was cut by the Cleveland Browns following two disappointing seasons. He was drafted 22nd overall by the Browns out of Texas A&M in 2014.
