Over 304,000 jobs were added in January in a blockbuster report. The employment gains are far greater than the 172,000 new jobs most economists expected.
Job gains occurred in several industries, including leisure and hospitality (+74,000), construction (+52,000), health care (+42,000), and transportation and warehousing (+27,000).
