FBI Concludes Gunman Sought Infamy In Its Final Report

The FBI is concluding in its final report on the Las Vegas mass shooting that the gunman sought infamy and probably chose his targets because people at the outdoor music festival were having fun. Still, the report released Tuesday said its team of investigators and behavioral analysts could not determine a clear motive for the October 2017 attack on a country music festival. Stephen Paddock killed himself as police were closing in on his hotel suite. In the years before the shooting he complained about his declining physical and mental health. It's likely that is when he began to meticulously plan the attack with the idea that he would commit suicide in the end. Paddock carefully covered his tracks and did not share details of his plan with anyone.
