Schertz Police say a Comal County Sheriff's Deputy may have suffered a 'medical emergency' before smashing his car into two other vehicles on FM 3009 and Dimrock in Schertz, News Radio 1200 WOAI reports.
The Deputy, identified by the Comal County Sheriff's Office as Ray Horn, 44, was rushed to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.
A person in one of the cars that Horn's vehicle hit suffered non life threatening injuries.
The Sheriff's Office said Thursday night it is 'extremely painful' to confirm Deputy Horn's death, and asked residents to 'keep Deputy Horn and his family in your prayers.'
