Democratic House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is asking President Trump to postpone his State of the Union Address. Pelosi wrote a letter to Trump stating the speech should be delayed until the partial government shutdown has come to an end. The address is currently scheduled to take place on January 29th, but Pelosi thinks it should be rescheduled or submitted in writing to members of Congress. Pelosi sited security concerns related to the government shutdown.
