House Republicans are urging Democrats to come to their senses on border security after meeting with President Trump. Speaking today at the White House, Illinois Republican Rodney Davis of Illinois was frustrated that Congressional Democrats did not show up to what should have been a bipartisan lunch. Congresswoman Susan Brooks of Indiana says Democrats need to put forward a "rational" counter-offer. President Trump has invited more Democratic members to the White House tomorrow to try and negotiate a deal to end the partial government shutdown.
