Attorney General-nominee William Barr does not believe Special Counsel Robert Mueller is involved in a "witch hunt." During his Senate confirmation hearing today, Barr said Mueller must be allowed to complete his investigation and should not be fired without cause. President Trump often refers to Mueller's Russia investigation as a "witch hunt." Barr said the U.S. needs a credible resolution of issues related to Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election. Barr also played down a memo he wrote that was critical of the Russia investigation.
