A driver was killed early Monday in a fiery crash on the city's west side, News Radio 1200 WOAI reports.
Police say the driver of a Corvette was driving at a high rate of speed on the access road of Highway 151 near Pinn Road. He smashed into the back of an SUV, then careened into a concrete divider. The car burst into flames and the driver of the 'Vette was pronounced dead at the scene.
There were no other serious injuries.Police are investigating, but they believe that speed has the primary cause of the accident.
