McConnell urges Democrats to "get serious" about border security

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell is urging Democrats to get past political games and "get serious" about border security.  Speaking today on the Senate Floor, the Kentucky Republican addressed a new bill on U.S. defense and security assistance in the Middle East.  McConnell says Senate Democrats are trying to block the legislation which sanctions Syria because of the partial government shutdown.  McConnell says the government is shut down because Democrats are "unwilling" to negotiate with the White House over border security.
