A two alarm fire forced 14 people out of their apartments on New Years afternoon, fire officials tell News Radio 1200 WOAI.
The fire at the complex in the 14500 block of Bitters Rd. was apparently started when a tenant attempted to light a fire in the fireplace of his apartment.
Thirty fire units converged on the scene. Nobody was hurt and damage to other apartments was minimized by the quick work of the firefighters.
