Hundreds of New Yorkers can claim bragging rights for taking the annual polar bear plunge into the frigid Atlantic Ocean in Brooklyn. Organizers say it was the 115th such plunge for the Coney Island polar bear club. This year's event took place in unseasonably warm 50 degree temperatures unlike last year's brutal readings in the 20s. Proceeds from the annual fundraiser go toward improving the quality of life for the Coney Island community.
