A massive, second alarm fire destroyed a strip center on Perrin-Beitel Road near the main Post Office early today, News Radio 1200 WOAI reports.
Fire crews were called to the 10400 block of Perrin-Beitel near Post Office Dr, just south of Wurzbach Pkwy, about 3AM. When they arrived they found heavy smoke coming out of the building, which houses a Jack-in-the-Box restaurant and a convenience store.
A second alarm was quickly called and a total of 28 fire units surrounded the building.
The building is a total loss. None of the businesses in the strip center was open at the time
.Arson investigators are on the scene and are trying to determine the cause.
