A man is nursing gunshot wounds after he was shot in an early morning drive by on the northeast side, officials tell News Radio 1200 WOAI.
Sheriff's Deputies called to the corner of Nestor and Chipping Glen found the victim sprawled on the sidewalk, bleeding from at least one gunshot wound.. The scene of the shooting is near Walzem and Montgomery Roads.
The victim's friend told deputies that they were walking on the sidewalk when a white car drove up and somebody inside opened fire on them.
The victim, aged 28, is hospitalized with non life-threatening wounds.
Sheriff's detectives say so far, they have no motive and no suspects.
