A 24 year old man who police say was on his way home from a Christmas party was killed late Tuesday in a motorcycle accident on a west side street, News Radio 1200 WOAI reports.
Police say the man was riding his motorcycle at a high rate of speed down West Martin Street about 11PM when he slammed into a car that was making a left turn onto NW 19th Street.
The motorcyclist was thrown to the ground and was pronounced dead at the scene. Police say he was wearing a helmet at the time.
So far no charges are anticipated against the driver, but the Traffic Investigation Division is probing the wreck.
