Bexar County Deputies dropped spikes onto Interstate 35 early today to bring a high speed chase in the Von Ormy area to an end, News Radio 1200 WOAI reports.
Deputies were called to a home on Glen Lark, which is off Montgomery Rd in northeast Bexar County, on a report that a man was assaulting a woman inside the home.
When deputies arrived, the suspect got into his pickup and floored it, and the chase was on.
The chose would down I-10 to I-35 at speeds of up to 90 miles an hour.
When the chase made it to I-35 and Benton City Rd, the deputies tossed the spikes onto the road, ending the chase.
In addition to assault, the driver will also face felony evading arrest charges.
