The San Antonio Entrepreneurs Organization is bullish on 2019, News Radio 1200 WOAI reports.
The group, which represents local men and women who have started and are operating their own businesses, say they see the momentum the city has built up over the past several years continuing, despite some warnings signs about the direction of the national economy.
"A couple years back, it was like, there's no cranes in San Antonio, and today you look at the skyline and there's a lot of construction," the group's Magaly Chocano told News Radio 1200 WOAI's Michael Board.
Chocano, who has started a tech business, says the seeds of continued growth are visible across the city.
"You can see it happening, the growth, and that's what keeps us motivated, is to see that there is an upward trend."She says nearly every local small business owner surveyed, 94%, say they plan to make more full time hires in 2019.
