Hundreds of volunteers wrapped thousands of toys this weekend at the San Antonio's Fire Training Academy as part of Santa's Firefighter Toy Drive.
“These firefighters are gonna go out in the neighborhoods near their fire station where they serve. So it’s a chance to bond with the community, it’s a chance to bring some joy to families that are suffering this time of year and maybe wouldn’t have a Christmas without us,” Fire Chief Woody Woodward said.
Firefighters will deliver gifts to more than 4,000 children in the area before Christmas.
