A man is hospitalized after he tried to cross Vance Jackson Rd in a wheelchair and was hit by an SUV, News Radio 1200 WOAI reports.
It happened near Gardina St inside Loop 410.
Police described the victim as 'elderly,' although an exact age was not awailable.
Police say the man was trying to cross the darkened street, and the SUV driver didn't see him until it was too late.
No charges are expected.
