From the official lighting of the H-E-B Christmas tree at Travis Park to tens of thousands lining the Riverwalk for the Holiday Parade, the San Antonio signature event proved again Friday night why it is one of the top ten holiday parades in the nation, according to USA Today.
The theme of the 2018 parade was, appropriately, San Antonio, honoring this years Tricentennial.
The brightly lighted floats symbolized key ceremonies and traditions which make San Antonio unique.
Even Mother Nature cooperated, with temperatures in the seventies at the start of the parade.
The parade delighted all the senses. The Krispy Kreme float even gave out the scent of the compays famous donuts, which easily reached the spectators on the river banks and watching from atop bridges.
