Broward County Elections Head Resigns After Botched Recount

The supervisor of elections in Broward County, Florida is stepping down after criticism of how the recent recount there was handled .  Brenda Snipes' job performance was  questioned after her office lost over 2,000 ballots during a  machine recount last week.  Broward's machine recount numbers ended up  not even mattering because they were turned in two minutes after a deadline Thursday.  A hand recount in Florida's Senate race finished  Sunday, with Republican Rick Scott beating incumbent Democrat Bill  Nelson.
