Police say a trucker may have run over and killed a woman overnight, and didn't even know it, News Radio 1200 WOAI reports.
The body of a 60 year old woman was found in the middle of San Francisco Street, in the Los Angeles Heights neighborhood on the near north side, overnight.
The woman had been run over by a vehicle and was dead by the time police got there.Witnesses pointed to an 18 wheeler that had been seen near the location.
Police tracked it to the corner of Fredericksburg and West Magnolia, not far away.
They say the trucker didn't know he had hit somebody, and they say due to the height of the cab, that explanation is believable. Detectives are still investigating.
