Ford Motor company is reportedly getting into the scooter business. A report from Axios says Ford has purchased the Spin scooter company for 40-million-dollars. Stand-up electric scooters have become a billion-dollar business in the past few years. Spin operates rental scooters in over a dozen U.S. cities and on several college campuses. A Ford spokesman says they are not commenting on the speculation.
