President Trump says the U.S. is being invaded by illegal immigrants as the clock winds down toward the midterm elections. Speaking at the White House, Trump called it a crisis. He said his administration is working on plans to revise U.S. asylum laws to make it more difficult to seek asylum in the U.S. Trump again warned about Central American caravans that are headed to the U.S. and defended his deployment of several thousand U.S. troops along the southern border. He argued that there is nothing political about steps he's taking to protect the border.
