President Trump is rallying his supporters in Houston to vote for his former political rival, Republican Senator Ted Cruz. Trump told the raucous crowd that he and Cruz got a little nasty towards each other during the lead-up to the 2016 election. He remarked that since then, no one has helped advance his agenda more than Cruz. Earlier in the rally, Cruz said he'd support Trump's bid for reelection in 2020. Cruz is facing a challenge from Democratic Senate candidate Beto O'Rourke. Trump needs every Republican seat in Congress he can keep to push forward his agenda for the next two years.
