A contingent of more than 20 Air Force Reservists are back home  following a six-month deployment to Southeast Asia in support of  Operation Freedom Sentinel, News Radio 1200 WOAI reports.

All are logistics specialists assigned to the 26th and 74th Aerial  Port Squadrons.

Both units are attached to the 433rd Airlift Wing  headquartered at Joint Base Lackland, says Col. David Scott, the 433rd's  vice commander.

"Their main responsibility is to ensure the movement of cargo and  passengers throughout the theater of operations," Scott tells News Radio  1200 WOAI. "They load airplanes, they calculate the load plan for the  aircraft," primarily the giant Lockheed C-5M Super Galaxy, which the 433rd operates.

For most of the group this was a first-time deployment, says Scott.  The reservists served at air bases in Afghanistan, Iraq and other friendly countries in the region, he says.
