A 15 year old boy stumbled into his mother's bedroom in their south side home early today, told her "I've been shot," and then bled to death on the living room floor, police tell News Radio 1200 WOAI.
The heartbreaking incident happened about 2AM today in the house the teen shared with his mother and grandmother on Adolph St, which is off Southcross Blvd.
When police arrived, the boy was already dead.. Detectives say the bullet entered his shoulder and traveled downward to his heart.
Police have very little to go on, and don't know if the victim was murdered or may have been shot accidentally,. No witnesses have been found.
