A lightning strike is blamed for a fire that damaged a home in Alamo Ranch, in northwest Bexar County, News Radio 1200 WOAI reports,
The fire erupted on Amber Rose St, which is not far from Loop 1604 and Highway 151, just as a major thunderstorm, accompanies by lightning and thunder, was moving through the area.
The family ran outside into the drenching rain and watched as fire damaged their home and their belongings.. A portion of the roof collapsed.
Nobody was injured.
