Amazon Planning 3,000 No-Cashier Amazon Go Convenience Stores By 2021

There are reports Amazon is planning to open three-thousand of its no-cashier Amazon Go stores by 2021.  Bloomberg News calls it Amazon's most aggressive move into brick-and-mortar retail since it bought Whole Foods in 2016.  The online retail giant opened its first Go store in Seattle less than two years ago.  The store uses censors and lightweight automation software so people can shop and check out without dealing with a clerk or payment kiosk.  A second Seattle Amazon Go store opened last month and one in Chicago opened its doors this week.  More stores are planned for Chicago and the San Francisco Bay Area later this year and in 2019.
