A training jet out of Joint Base San Antonio Randolph crashed into a field off Nacogdoches Road behind Rolling Oaks Mall this afternoon, News Radio1200 WOAI reports.
More than a dozen fire and emergency units rushed to the scene. The plane was identified by witnesses as a T-6 Trainer.
Officials day the two pilots on board ejected safely and were not hurt. No fire was reported at the crash scene.
The plane came down in a field and there are no reports of injuries or damage on the ground.
