Dak Prescott threw a 64-yard touchdown pass to Tavon Austin in the opening drive as the Cowboys held off the Giants 20-13 at AT&T Stadium. Dallas racked up six sacks and limited New York to 35 rushing yards as a team. Ezekiel Elliott scored a six-yard rushing touchdown with 5:45 remaining in the fourth quarter to help Dallas secure the victory and improve to 1-and-1. Eli Manning tried to ignite a late rally for the Giants with a 18-yard touchdown toss to Evan Engram in the fourth quarter. New York was only able to find the end zone once for the second consecutive game as it dropped to 0-and-2.
