Gennady Golovkin gets his first loss as a professional boxer as Canelo Alvarez becomes the new middleweight champion. Canelo squeaked by GGG [[ Triple G ]] with a slim majority from the judge's in their post-fight decision last night in Vegas. Golovkin was not happy with the decision and stormed out of the ring before HBO could interview him. CBS Sports had given the title fight to Golovkin. Compubox said Golovkin threw and landed more punches, but Alvarez was more accurate with his shots and landed more power punches. In a post-fight interview, Alvarez called it a clear victory, but added, if the people want a third fight, we'll do it again.
