A statue outside San Francisco City Hall that critics called racist was removed by a city crew early Friday morning. The statue shows a Native American at the feet of a Spanish cowboy and a Catholic missionary. It was part of a group of statues depicting the founding of California. A San Francisco board had voted to have it removed.
