Chief White House economist Kevin Hassett is cheering President Trump's handling of the economy. Talking with reporters today, Hassett displayed charts showing trends of success and growth since Trump was elected. In a speech last week, former President Barack Obama chided Republicans over their claims about the strong economy. Obama said he handed Trump a strong economy that had been steadily improving for several years. Hassett argued that the robust economy is not a continuation of a trend from the Obama years.
